Is a Sequel to "Twins" in the Works?

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Universal is looking to make a sequel to the 1988 film Twins. The plan is to reunite the two stars of the film, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, and feature another actor who would play a third brother...Eddie Murphy.

For anyone who doesn't remember, Twins is about a man (Julius) who finds out that he has a long lost twin brother (Vincent) who was placed in an orphanage after they were conceived through an experiment. He goes out to find his brother and when they reunite, they go on a search for their mother. The sequel would be about the two men discovering that they have a brother.

The film is currently titled Triplets, but it's in the very early stages which means that no director is attached and there is no script either. Ivan Reitman directed the 1988 comedy and would return for the sequel as a producer.

This sounds like an early April Fool's Day joke. I'm actually hoping that it is a joke because I don't see this sequel working if it turns out to be true.
