For anyone who doesn't know, The Hangover Part III is happening and it's been given a release date of May 24th, 2013. The three stars (Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis) will be coming back to reprise their roles. As of right now, no details about the plot have been announced, but Mike Tyson confirmed that he'll be part of the upcoming comedy during an interview with The Boxing Blog.
Word of a third movie should not be a surprise to anyone seeing how much money the first two movies grossed, The Hangover alone grossed over $460,000,000 worldwide. While promoting The Hangover Part II, director Todd Phillips said that he always had intentions for a trilogy.
"Obviously we always envisioned it as a trilogy. The third would be very much a finale and an ending... I haven't discussed it with these actors yet. [It would] not follow the same template, but is very much a new idea."I know that not everyone likes these movies, but I love them and I look forward to the third one.
