According to The Wrap, Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids, SNL) is being eyed for a role in Anchorman: The Legend Continues.While work on the script is still being done, the talk is that she would play the love interest of Brick Tamland (played by Steve Carell).
The principle actors are returning and they include Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and Steve Carell.
Adam McKay is set to direct the comedy which is looking at a October 2013 release date.
