31 Christmas Movie Recommendations... #6: Black Christmas (1974)

Black Christmas (1974)
"'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, a creature was stirring."

Directed by Bob Clark
Starring: Olivia Hussey, Margot Kidder and John Saxon

"A sorority house is terrorized by a stranger who makes frightening phone calls and then murders the sorority sisters during Christmas break." (IMDB.com)

Being a horror fan, I just had to include a Christmas themed horror film...in fact, a second one will most likely make an appearance later this month! Despite the fact that Black Christmas can be considered one the first slasher films (it influenced John Carpenter when he made Halloween four years later), I see the film as be underrated and sometimes overlooked which is a shame because it's a horror classic. See it, but don't rush to see the 2006 remake.
