What Not to Watch This Christmas: "Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure" (2003)

Since I'll be recommending 31 Christmas movies this month, I figured that I would also mention a few movies throughout the month that you should avoid watching this Christmas.

The first flick I've chosen is a sequel to a Christmas favorite of mine. This TV movie never should've been made...it's that bad.

Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure (2003)
"What could go wrong in paradise? Just about anything!"

Directed by Nick Marck
Starring: Randy Quaid, Miriam Flynn and Dana Barron

"Though Eddie's fired right at Christmastime, his boss sends him and his family on a South Pacific vacation, hoping Eddie won't sue him after being bitten by a lab monkey. When the Tuttle family winds up trapped on a tropical island, however, Eddie manages to provide for everyone and prove himself a real man." (samjjones via IMDB.com)

Not only am I a huge fan of Christmas Vacation (1989), I actually enjoy all the movies in the Vacation series. However, this one was a disaster! I don't remember laughing once because it just wasn't funny. Not only that, but the script and directing was bad. The only good thing about it was the fact that Dana Barron reprises her role as Audrey Griswold from Vacation (1983).

If you find yourself thinking about checking it out, please reconsider, but if you just have to watch it, then you might want to have some alcohol nearby.
