Rizzoli & Isles Renewed for Season 5

TNT announced that their hit show, Rizzoli & Isles, has been renewed for a fifth season. The renewal should come as no surprise since the show has average 8.4 million viewers and is in cable's top five dramas in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.

More Season 1 Episodes of "The Fosters" Ordered!

Attention Fosters fans, ABC Family has ordered additional season 1 episodes according to the show's official Facebook page!

The show will return with new episodes in January. Until then, head over to the Facebook page by clicking the link above and read the news for yourself. In fact, like the page in order to get updates and news during the hiatus.

Production Has Begun on Season 2 of "Orange is the New Black"

Less than an hour ago, it was announced on the Orange is the New Black official Facebook page that production has begun on season 2!

"Whip your hair(net) back & forth, production has started on #OITNB season 2! Stay tuned for news and updates!"

The news was accompanied by a pic featuring some of the cast members, so head on over to the Facebook page and check it out. Be sure to like the page as well in order to get the updates as they're made.

It's awesome that production has started on the new season, but it's not expected to stream on Netflix until 2014. It would be even more awesome if it aired before then, but we shouldn't get our hopes up until an official announcement has been made. Until that announcement and until season 2 airs, I recommend that we all continue to rewatch the episodes from season 1. Who's with me?!

'Orange is the New Black': A New Character is Added and Another is Promoted

For anyone who has Netflix, have you seen the series Orange is the New Black? No? Why not?! Get on it ASAP! If you answered 'yes', then good for you and I hoped you love the show as much as I do.

It's already been announced that Taryn Manning (Tiffany 'Pennsatucky' Doggett) has been made a series regular for season 2. Now it's been announced that Danielle Brooks (Tasha 'Taystee' Jefferson) has been promoted to a series regular as well.

That's not the only news because Lorraine Toussaint has been added to the show. She'll play a new inmate named Vee who is being described as "a longtime street tough who ran her own drug business, recruiting children to serve as runners."

No release date for season 2 has been announced, but it's expected to stream on Netflix sometime in 2014.

Check out the trailer below and if you like what you see, I highly recommend that you watch the 13 season 1 episodes:

About the show:

Cutthroat Kitchen hands four chefs each $25,000 and the opportunity to spend that money on helping themselves or sabotaging their competitors. Ingredients will be thieved, utensils destroyed and valuable time on the clock lost when the chefs compete to cook delicious dishes while also having to outplot the competition. With Alton Brown as the devilish provocateur, nothing is out of bounds when money changes hands and we see just how far chefs will go to ensure they have the winning dish."

The Fosters Will Get a Second Season, Right?!

With ABC Family's The Fosters posting excellent numbers each week, it's a surprise that no announcement has been made as to whether or not the show will get a second season. Saying that, I feel that season 2 is a lock. I mean, just look at these numbers thanks to TV by the Numbers:

- Monday's episode (1x08) set a series high when it came to total viewers at 1.894 million as well as the target group 18-34, 18-49 and females 12-34.

- For the 4th week in a row, the show was Monday's #1 TV telecast when it came to female teens.

ABC Family, do the right thing and order a second season already! Please.

The Fosters airs on Monday nights at 9pm on ABC Family, so check it out and catch up quick because the summer finale is set to air on August 5th!

From ABC Family:

"The Fosters is a compelling, one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms. Stef Foster (Teri Polo), a dedicated police officer, and her partner Lena Adams (Sherri Saum), a school Vice Principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef's biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon (David Lambert), and their adopted twins, Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) and Jesus (Jake T. Austin). Their lives are disrupted in unexpected ways when Lena meets Callie (Maia Mitchell), a hardened teen with an abusive past who has spent her life in and out of foster homes. Lena and Stef warily welcome Callie into their home thinking it's just for a few weeks, until a more permanent placement can be found."

TVLine.com to Their Readers: 'What Happens Next: Has a 'Grey's Anatomy' Marriage Flatlined? Is it Lights Out for Richard?'

TVLine.com's Matt Webb Mitovich asked their readers and fans of Grey's Anatomy two questions about what they think will happen with Calzona (Callie and Arizona) and Richard in season 10.

In regards to Richard, anyone who has seen the season 9 finale knows that it ended with Richard lying on the floor after being electrocuted while trying to get the hospital's power supply back up and running.

TV Line gave two options to choose from:

R.I.P., Dr. Webber :(
or
Bailey found Richard in time to resuscitate him, but he's now a bit... 'different'

James Pickens Jr. who plays Dr. Richard Webber did sign a contract for seasons 9 and 10, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be back. Plus, no one is safe in Shondaland and any fan of the show knows that. Basically, anything can happen.

Honestly, I'm at a loss when trying to guess if Richard will survive or die. I can make a case for both scenarios. Saying that, I'm going to make a guess... I'm going to say that Richard survives.

When it comes to the future of Callie and Arizona, TV Line offers five options and in my opinion, none of the options are anything I'd like to see happen:

TV Guide's Natalie Abrams: What We Want to See on 'Grey's Anatomy' Next Season

Warning: Spoilers from the season 9 of Grey's Anatomy will be mentioned here, so once again, if you haven't watched the last few episodes of season 9 and don't want to be spoiled...stop reading now and close this page.

Last chance, if you continue, you run the risk of reading spoilers...

Over at TVGuide.com, Natalie Abrams has written a piece titled What We Want to See on 'Grey's Anatomy' Next Season. Obviously, the article is about what she and others at TVGuide.com would like to see take place during season 10 of Grey's Anatomy.

The list revolves around the couples of the show except for Richard who is solo until the very last sentence of their wish list.

Since I'm a Calzona shipper, I had to read what they wanted to see happen with the couple first.
Callie and Arizona (Sara Ramirez and Jessica Capshaw): Sure, we expect the duo to work past Arizona's infidelity eventually, but we'd actually be curious to see Lauren (Hilarie Burton) stick around for a while and try to fight for Arizona. Should Calzona test the waters of being apart, Arizona will eventually come to realize that Callie is, and always has been, her true love. But will she be too late? Since Callie has now been cheated on twice, we'd love to see the normally strong doc falter and go to therapy — just not couples' therapy since that didn't work out for Cristina and Owen.
The first sentence really got to me. They are "curious" to see Lauren stay and fight for Arizona for a bit? Really? In my opinion, while I believe she [Lauren] could show up in season 10 since Hilarie Burton's pilot The List didn't get picked up by Fox, her character served her purpose in the final episodes of season 9. The only reason she would need to appear in one, maybe two episodes of season 10 is for Arizona to tell her once and for all that they are over and she needs to leave.

Abrams then mentions how they'd like to see Callie in therapy. I can agree with this, but I have an issue that there was no mention of Arizona needing therapy because, let's face it, she does. She needs to go to therapy alone first in order to deal with her PTSD and the resentment she has towards Callie and her decision to amputate. After that, both need to get some couple's therapy because while it may not have worked for Cristina and Owen, that doesn't mean it can't work for Callie and Arizona.

Grey's Anatomy: Calzona IS in Trouble...My Thoughts

Warning: This post will contain spoilers and my speculation, so if you don't want to hear about what Shonda Rhimes (creater of Grey's Anatomy) has to say about Callie and Arizona, then I'm warning you now to not continue reading and just wait for the episode to air. Everyone else, continue...

Ok Calzona fans, after reading an interview Shonda Rhimes did with The Hollywood Reporter, it's tough to be positive anymore about Calzona in the season 9 finale because I do believe that they are in trouble.
THR: Arizona is enjoying the attention and flirting Lauren (Hilarie Burton) is showing her. How far will she allow this flirtation to go?
Rhimes: It's going to go very, very far. I feel fairly committed that it marginalizes Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona to say that they're the lesbian couple and happy and they can only be with one another as the happy couple that sits in the corner. It neutralizes them. They've been on this very interesting, complex journey this season and that journey is not finished. I've done lot of reading on PTSD and grief and these people have been through a hell of a lot this season and we've watched them struggle to right themselves fairly quickly -- perhaps too quickly. There's stuff there that has not been dealt with. We're taking them through it, which I think is great, and Lauren is definitely possibly a part of that.
According to Shonda, the flirtation will go "very, very far." Just how far is "very, very far?" To me, there can be two possibilities. 1) They sleep together. 2) They kiss, but Arizona stops it before it goes any further. While I prefer neither of the two options to happen, but since something is going to happen, I'd rather it be the latter.

THR: What's the goal of this story -- Arizona finally allowing herself to believe she's whole? How will this affect her marriage to Callie?
Rhimes: The goal of the story becomes really clear in the last moments of the finale: you really begin to understand in their last scene. From our table read, that was the most stunning moment of the table read -- the entire cast gasped and fell silent. You begin to really understand what's going on here. It's complex and it's big for them and you're seeing something huge. I'm not going to tell you what the goal of the story is, the point is when you discover what the goal of the story is, you get it.
With her saying that the cast "gasped and fell silent" has me thinking that there will be a separation/divorce request, most likely initiated by Arizona so she can become the person she was before the accident/amputation not just for her, but for Callie and Sophia as well. Why do I think that? Shonda replied to a fan on Twitter:
Fan: I'm excited!!! So this means a pretty intense calzona storyline for season 10???Shonda: Yes.
At this point, nothing sounds more intense for the couple then the possibility of them breaking up for good and/or trying to work on their relationship after possible cheating (I do believe that Callie will find out whether she catches them or Arizona tells her because she's wracked with guilt) and dealing with a separation/divorce. Will they work through their issues? I would say yes because I remember Shonda saying that Callie and Arizona were MFEO (meant for each other), but all we can do now is wait and see.

More evidence of possible trouble for Calzona...over at SpoilerTV, they have some promo pics for the season finale (episode 9x24, Perfect Storm). Callie is in two pics and in the pics, see is clearly wearing her wedding ring and it appears that she's wearing her necklace in the other, but in the pic that features Arizona, you can clearly tell that she is NOT wearing her wedding ring. Now, this could easily be just a prop error as Jessica Capshaw wore her real life wedding ring in an episode (back in season 8 I believe) or maybe she was/will be in surgery and had to take it off. However, it could also mean the worse and Arizona willing took it off knowing that she was going to ask Callie for a separation. In this instance, I'm going to assume a prop error despite the fact that I'm expecting a separation for the couple.

Well, that's it for now, but there will be more posts in the very near, especially after the season 9 finale that will air on May 16th.

Grey's Anatomy 9x22 Promo: Calzona in Trouble?!

Warning: If you haven't seen the promo yet and want to wait until you do so, then do not keep reading. For anyone who wants to know before the promo airs, let's get on with it...

I just watched the promo for the next episode of Grey's Anatomy and all I have to say is: What the f***?! By that, I mean, will Arizona cheat on Callie?!

Ok...in the promo, Arizona is in the elevator with anther woman and the woman says that she [Arizona] has "really pretty eyes" to which she smiles. Right after that, the screen flashes the word "unfaithful" with Arizona then saying "you're amazing." Right before she says that, the woman is shown, but promos can be deceiving and she may not even be saying to this mystery woman. Then, the promo shows Callie opening the door to see Arizona in the room and Callie gasps. Again, it could be and I hope it is a deceiving edit. Watch the promo below!

Now, I remember back on March 27th, Shonda took to Twitter to announce to fans of the show to forget everything they may have heard about the season 9 finale because everything was changed. After that announcement, she responded to some fans' questions and one was about Calzona.
Fan: "You are the scariest writer out there lol. Who knows what Shonda has in the making!!! I love it Please be good to Calzona. :D"

Shonda: "I will be good to Callie. And I will be good to Arizona."
Did Shonda lie in her tweet? While I don't think she did and she will, in fact, be good to both Callie and Arizona, I'm a little nervous that with Shonda, anything can happen. However, here is Shonda on Twitter less than an hour ago...

Oh, boy...I'm even more nervous now!

New Cooking Competition Show: 'Knife Fight'

On April 22nd, the G4 network will be no more and the new Esquire network will take over. While watching promos for the upcoming shows that will be featured on the network, one really stood out as something that I'll be interested in, a cooking show titled Knife Fight.

About the show from the show's official website:
"This isn't a made-for-TV competition. For years, this secret underground happening has taken place after restaurants close their doors to the public. Led by ringleader and celebrated chef Ilan Hall, this is where talented cooks go to prove who's the best. Feel the heat as they're cheered and heckled by a rowdy crowd of celebrities, restaurant critics, and die-hard foodies. This is not a white-napkin dinner. This is war."

Below is a promo:

If you're interested in checking it out, it's starts on April 23rd at 9/8c on the new Esquire network.

Grey's Anatomy: Sara Ramirez Talks Calzona's Future

This post may contain spoilers...

On Wednesday, The Hollywood Reporter went to the set of ABC's hit show Grey's Anatomy. While there, they talked to Sara Ramirez (Dr. Callie Torres) about Callie and Arizona's relationship and what the future holds for the couple.

Here are some highlights:
"After she comes back to the hospital, you'll definitely see outside of the hospital that they try taking baby steps toward what they remember having," Ramirez teases, noting that Alex's role in Arizona's amputation is always in the back of Callie's mind. "They have to deal with the fact that it's not as easy as they'd hoped. It was getting rough there for a while but Callie continues to show up and to try as best as she knows how because she loves her wife."
"The tragedy makes the lighter, funnier, intimate moments so meaningful and so much more powerful because the audience is so hungry for it when it finally comes," she says of "Calzona's" story line."
"That opportunity could arise at Bailey's (Chandra Wilson) wedding when Callie and Arizona discover some new things with each other. "We have some fun, light moments to look forward to," she says with a smile. "Maybe some rekindling."
To that, I say finally! Although, for anyone who saw last night's episode, I Was Made For Lovin' You, it appears that the couple are on their way to getting back to where they were before the plane crash. I look forward to more of those moments, especially episode 10 because that's the episode that will feature Shonda's favorite Calzona scene of season 9.

Well, the character is now known because William Keck over at TVGuide.com got an exclusive interview with the latest casualty of Grey's Anatomy. Read on if you want to find out which character will die in early 2013. If you don't want to know, stop reading and walk away.

Shonda Rhimes Tweets About Season 9 of Grey's Anatomy

Earlier today, Shonda Rhimes responded to a question on Twitter from a fan who wanted to know "the vibe" for season 9 of Grey's Anatomy.

Her reply to the fan was:

In the room, I'm calling GA season 9, "The Season of Romance."

A "season of romance" would make sense considering several of the doctors were involved in a plane crash which claimed, for now, one life (Lexie Grey) and such an event would make anyone realize just how much their loved ones mean to them and they'll want to express that. I see this happening for Cristina/Owen, Derek/Meredith and Callie/Arizona (if Arizona survives). Almost losing the person you love will make them want to treasure each moment and even rekindle strained relationships (Cristina/Owen).

The only person I don't see having much romance in season 9 would be Mark if he is to survive the injuries he suffered in the crash. While he wasn't with Lexie at the time, he was in love with her, so if he survives, it's going to be tough road ahead for him. The same can be said about Callie if Arizona dies and I hope that doesn't happen because I want to see more Calzona romance!

Romance won't just happen for the couples affected by the plane crash. Don't forget about Bailey and Ben. They got engaged at the end of season 8 and I see them getting married at some point, but I don't necessarily think it'll happen in season 9.

Then there's Jackson and April. They got together at the end of season 8 with April having regrets mainly due to her religious beliefs. Will they become a couple or just remain friends. Personally, I'm kind of hoping that they get together as a couple. I think they would be cute together, but I wouldn't be upset if they decided to just stay friends.

Tweets from Grey's Anatomy Cast Members...Jessica Capshaw Tweets, but Gives Nothing Away

*This post will focus on a tweet from Jessica Capshaw who plays Dr. Arizona Robbins on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy. Look for more posts like this as more tweets/news is released.*

Not only am I fan of Grey's Anatomy, but I'm also a fan of Dr. Callie Torres and Dr. Arizona Robbins who are also known as Calzona to the fans of the couple. I definitely don't want Arizona to die in the season 9 premiere, but there is a chance she could since she wasn't in the best shape seeing as she suffered a horrible leg wound in the crash and was even coughing up blood.

With filming underway, I decided to check out Jessica Capshaw's (Arizona Robbins) Twitter page and about two hours ago, she tweeted a message basically saying that she wouldn't confirm or deny if she was going to back to soon.

"Dear Grey's fans, Stop trying to trick me into telling you if I am going back to work soon ;) I'm not spilling the beans... XX Jessica"

Unfortunately, one can take that tweet and use it as evidence that she is or isn't coming back.

The case that she is coming back...she wants to keep the fans in anticipation and not give anything away until filming begins and spoilers begin to leak. Her using the winking emoticon can be seen as a hint to her fans that she is coming back.

The case that she isn't coming back...she doesn't want to disappoint fans this soon.

Here is what we know. Jessica Capshaw will show up to work at some point for the season 9 premiere because she was still alive as season 8 ended. The big question is whether she'll live or die during the premiere episode? I, for one, hope that she makes it.

'Bachelor' Creator Says Most of Reality Shows are Fake

Mike Fleiss is the creator and executive producer of The Bachelor and according to him, the majority of reality TV shows are fake.

"I think most of the shows are fake," said Fleiss during a talk at the Banff World Media Festival. However, when it comes to his show, it's not fake.

"I think there's all kinds of (bull) going on behind the scenes with, I would say, outside of the talent shows and 'The Bachelor,' where we really kill ourselves and spend a lot of money and time and destroy our staff to make sure it's real, that 70 to 80 percent of the shows on TV are (bull). They’re loosely scripted. Things are planted. Things are salted into the environment so things seem more shocking."

Fleiss went on to say that producers and the networks aren't the only ones at blame, but that the viewers are to blame as well.

"(Viewers are) not requiring a pure delivery of non-fiction content (from the shows). They know it's somewhat fake, but they're OK with it."

Hearing Fleiss say that the majority of reality TV shows out there are fake is some of the least surprising news I've heard. Of course most of reality tv is fake and things are planted. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out.
