TVLine.com to Their Readers: 'What Happens Next: Has a 'Grey's Anatomy' Marriage Flatlined? Is it Lights Out for Richard?'



TVLine.com's Matt Webb Mitovich asked their readers and fans of Grey's Anatomy two questions about what they think will happen with Calzona (Callie and Arizona) and Richard in season 10.

In regards to Richard, anyone who has seen the season 9 finale knows that it ended with Richard lying on the floor after being electrocuted while trying to get the hospital's power supply back up and running.

TV Line gave two options to choose from:

R.I.P., Dr. Webber :(
or
Bailey found Richard in time to resuscitate him, but he's now a bit... 'different'

James Pickens Jr. who plays Dr. Richard Webber did sign a contract for seasons 9 and 10, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be back. Plus, no one is safe in Shondaland and any fan of the show knows that. Basically, anything can happen.

Honestly, I'm at a loss when trying to guess if Richard will survive or die. I can make a case for both scenarios. Saying that, I'm going to make a guess... I'm going to say that Richard survives.

When it comes to the future of Callie and Arizona, TV Line offers five options and in my opinion, none of the options are anything I'd like to see happen:

A) Shamed, Arizona left town, at least temporarily; Lauren is never seen again. Callie rebounded with a series of flings.
B) Mortified and betrayed, Callie left town, at least temporarily. Arizona struggles to date Lauren, knowing in the back of her mind, "Once a cheater...."
C) Callie and Arizona are separated and do their best to professionally coexist at the hospital. Lauren is never seen again.
D) Callie and Arizona are separated and do their best to professionally coexist at the hospital. Lauren is a keeper, but Arizona is reluctant to keep seeing her.
E) Callie wound up confessing her own indiscretion -- with George, whom she secretly saved and physically rehabbed, and who is now played by Gale Harold.

Obviously, option E has no chance of happening and is more than likely a joke option. All the other options have little things about them that keep me from choosing an option. An example is option A. I don't want to see Callie rebound with a series of flings. Could it happen, though? Sure because anything is possible. Another example, option B. Arizona "struggles" to date Lauren. There should be no struggling to date Lauren because Arizona shouldn't even attempt to date her. Before Arizona even attempts to reconcile with Callie or date someone else (I really hope that doesn't happen), she needs to get help with her issues and make sure she's better first. Then, if she wants to make things work with Callie and vice versa, they can begin couples counseling to get their relationship back on track while they co-parent Sofia. Since I'm a Calzona shipper, that's what I'd like to see happen and keeping my fingers crossed that Shonda wants that, too!
