During an interview with Moviehole, Machete star Danny Trejo let it slip that Zoe Saldana (Star Trek, Avatar) has joined the film."[It's] is going to be a lot more over-the-top than Machete. We've got Sofia Vergara, who is a star in her own right, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Zoe Saldana. And guess what? I get to kiss all of 'em."
This sequel will find Machete recruited by the U.S. Government to stop an arms dealer, played by Mel Gibson, from launching a missile with the hopes of spreading war across the planet.
Production is set to start soon in Austin, Texas.
