The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Zach Galligan (Gremlins, Gremlins 2: The New Batch) has signed on for a role in the upcoming horror flick Hatchet 3. He is set to play a "hard-nosed head of police."Kane Hodder is returning as Victor Crowley and Danielle Harris is also reprising her role as Marybeth, a women looking to end Crowley and his murderous ways for good.
"Hatchet 3" will continue the saga of Crowley, the "Bayou Butcher," who first made his gruesome mark in 2007's "Hatchet". It will continue where the story left off in "Hatchet 2."
Adam Green wrote and directed Hatchet and Hatchet 2 and while he did write the third one, he will step aside as director and will serve as producer instead. B.J. McDonnell will direct.
Shooting begins this week just outside of Louisiana.
