Penn was the perfect choice to play Milk and he deserved the Oscar that he won for his performance. The rest of the cast was excellent as well. A powerful and moving film.
In recommending this film, I also have to recommend The Times of Harvey Milk (1984) which is an excellent documentary narrated by Harvey Fierstein.
