"Bloodsport" Remake is Happening

Another remake is on its this way and this time, the 1988 Jean-Claude Van Damme flick "Bloodsport" is getting the remake treatment.

No word on casting as of yet, but a director has been found, Philip Noyce (Salt). The script will be written by Robert Mark Kamen (The Karate Kid and Taken).

Apparently, the story is about "an American who goes to Brazil to recover from the violence he has experienced in Afghanistan who gets involved in a martial arts contest."
