My Top 10 Favorite Jason Voorhees' Kills

I was watching Jason X the other day, which features one of my favorite Jason kills, so I figured I'd make a list of my top 10 favorite Jason kills.

Deciding on and ranking my top 10 was actually harder than I had expected, but I'm happy with my list.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find two of the deaths individually on YouTube, but I was able to find some stills.

Anyways, here we go...

10. Trey's death from Freddy vs. Jason (2003)

9. Allen's death from Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)

8. Nikki's death from Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)

7. Vera's death from Friday the 13th Part 3 (1982)

6. Andy's death from Friday the 13th Part 3 (1982)

5. Rick's death from Friday the 13th Part 3 (1982)

4. Julius' death from Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)

3. Mark's death from Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)

2. Adrienne's death from Jason X (2001)

1. Judy's death from Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)

What's your favorite Jason kill?

To end this post, let's watch Crispin Glover dance from Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984). Why? Because it's awesome, that's why. :)

Ready for Another Slice of American Pie?

Source: The Hollywood Reporter

It appears that another installment of the American Pie franchise is in the works.

Universal has completed deals with Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy to appear in American Reunion.

The studio is currently talking with Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge with hopes of getting them to reprise their roles.

The script has already been written by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg (Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay). They are also set to direct the film.

Adam Herz, who wrote the original, will be an executive producer along with the directors of the original, Paul and Chris Weitz.

In regards to the casting, I'm a little concerned that there is no news about being in talks with Alyson Hannigan or Eddie Kaye Thomas, but I'm sure they will be contacted soon enough.

As for the movie, I'd be up for another one and it would be even better if they can get more of the original cast members to sign on, so I'm hoping that the negotiations go well.

Trailer for Bad Teacher

Synopsis:
"Some teachers just don’t give an F. For example, there's Elizabeth (Cameron Diaz).  She’s foul-mouthed, ruthless, and inappropriate.  She drinks, she gets high, and she can’t wait to marry her meal ticket and get out of her bogus day job.  When she’s dumped by her fiancĂ©, she sets her plan in motion to win over a rich, handsome substitute (Justin Timberlake) – competing for his affections with an overly energetic colleague, Amy (Lucy Punch).  When Elizabeth also finds herself fighting off the advances of a sarcastic, irreverent gym teacher (Jason Segel), the consequences of her wild and outrageous schemes give her students, her coworkers, and even herself an education like no other."

I'll admit it, I laughed while watching the trailer and that's why I'll probably end up watching it when it hits theaters on June 24, 2011.

Writer for RoboCop Remake Found

Source: Deadline

It has been announced that MGM has hired Josh Zetumer to write the script for the upcoming remake of RoboCop.

While Zetumer may not be a high-profile writer, he does have some experience when it comes to writing scripts. He wrote a script for the remake of Dune when Peter Berg was still attached as director and he also wrote a script for a fourth Jason Bourne movie until those plans were put on the back burner. His first script, Infiltrator, made the Black List (a list for Hollywood's hottest unproduced scripts) and is set at Warner Bros. studios. It's a spy thriller with Leonardo DiCaprio set to star.

With Jose Padilha on board as director, the studio has announced that he will work closely with Zetumer in developing the remake.

Julianne Moore to Play Sarah Palin in Upcoming Film

Source: CNN.com

Today, HBO announced that actress Julianne Moore will play former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in an upcoming film about the 2008 presidential election.

The film is based on "Game Change", a 2010 best-selling book written by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, which detailed the 2008 presidential campaign. HBO said that the film will focus on John McCain's campaign.

The script was written by Danny Strong (Recount) and Jay Roach (Austin Powers and Recount) will direct.

I was a bit surprised when I first read that Moore was chosen to play Palin, but the more I think about it, the more I like and agree with the decision.

Charlie Sheen Has Been Fired

Source: TMZ.com

Charlie Sheen has been fired from "Two and a Half Men."

The official statement from Warner Bros. reads:
"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on 'Two and a Half Men,' effective immediately."
Now that Sheen is gone, what does this mean for the show's future? A source at Warner Bros. has said that no decision has been made.

As of right now, I'm going to guess that the show isn't coming back.
I'm editing this post to add Sheen's statement on his firing:

"This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."
