Happy Birthday, Boris Karloff!

Today, November 23rd, is Boris Karloff's (1887-1969) birthday.

Without question, Karloff will always be remembered as one of the great horror icons (Frankenstein, The Mummy, Black Sabbath, etc.), but it also can't be forgotten that he was the narrator for the 1966 Christmas classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Fun Fact: He was the inspiration for the first illustrations of The Incredible Hulk

Happy Thanksgiving! (Movie Recommendation Included!)

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has a great day with whatever your plans are for the day. For everyone out there that doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving...Happy Thursday! :)

 

This year, I'm going to list two films with a Thanksgiving theme. The first one will be the film that I highly recommend for a viewing. The second will be the film that should be avoided...at all costs!

Grey's Anatomy Season 9 Spoiler: Will Death Be Paying Another Visit to Seattle Grace?!

Michael Ausiello, over at TVLine.com, just posted a huge spoiler for an upcoming episode of Grey's Anatomy. Warning...read on at your own risk!

Last warning! If you continue reading, you will be spoiled and you'll have no one to blame but yourself!

Okay, let's get on with it:

A Grey's fan wrote saying that she needed a spoiler and Michael Ausiello sure delivered because according to him, another character will die "in early 2013"!

Question: I am in need of a Grey’s Anatomy spoiler, please! —Tia

Ausiello: The Grim Reaper will be paying another visit in early 2013. His rumored target: A longtime (and very much beloved) character.

Now, Ausiello never says it's a main character, so I'm thinking Adele Webber (Loretta Devine) will be the one to die. If you remember, Adele was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and her health seemed to be deteriorating quickly. I refuse to believe it'll be anyone else.

It should also be noted that Ausiello uses the word "rumored" and until the rumor is confirmed, it could be just a rumor and turn out to not be true at all. Saying that, I've found Ausiello to be very reliable, so until proven wrong, I'm going to trust him on this one.

Trailer for "The Heat" Starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy

Back in May, I wrote about Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy teaming up for a buddy cop film. At the time, it was untitled, but not only does it have a title now, The Heat, but the trailer has also been released. Check it out below:

 

Paul Feig, the director of Bridesmaids, directed the film and Katie Dippold (Parks & Recreation) wrote the script. Look for it in theaters on April 5th.

With Brave being released on Blu-Ray and DVD yesterday, EW.com's Owen Gleiberman and Lisa Schwarzbaum ranked 13 animated classics from Pixar. Where will Pixar's newest entry, Brave, rank among their other films such as Toy Story and Cars? Well, let's find out...

Grey's Anatomy SPOILER: Shonda Rhimes Tweets About Calzona



Spoiler below...do NOT read on if you want to be spoiled!

 

Good news for Calzona fans (*raises hand*)...Shonda Rhimes tweeted some very encouraging news concerning the couple a little over a week ago.

 

 

Now, as much as we all want to scream "bring on episode 10!", we'll have to be patient because the episode most likely won't air until after the long winter break. I'm thinking it'll air in January, possibly even February if it's the Valentine's episode. Saying that, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.
