Thanks to a long-term deal made between Lionsgate, Studiocanal and Miramax, over 550 films from the Miramax library will be released on Blu-Ray. The Scream trilogy is among the films and will be released on Blu-Ray in April 2011, which is no surprise since Scream 4 has a theatrical release date of April 15, 2011.
So far, two other titles have been announced along with the Scream trilogy and they are The Switch (March 15, 2011) and Pulp Fiction (June 2011). More titles will be announced down the road.
Being a fan of Scream and its sequels (yes, I like them all even though the sequels aren't as good as the first, in my opinion), I'm definitely looking forward to getting the films on Blu-Ray. However, part of me feels that it's going to be a bare-bones release, so it might be better to wait for a Special Edition Blu-Ray (if that ever happens), which would have some new special features. I'll just have to wait until the news about what's going to be included along with the films is announced before I make the final decision on whether to buy or not.
