Teen Wolf (1985) - March 29, 2011

Plot: A high school student discovers that he's a werewolf.

An 80's classic that is coming to Blu-Ray on March 29th. For those who don't have a blu-ray player, the DVD can be picked up that comes with the sequel, Teen Wolf Too.

American Graffiti (1973) - May 31, 2011

Plot: "Taking place over the course of one long Summer night in 1962, the interwoven stories of four friends serve to capture a sense of Anytown, USA. Film About Oklahoma City Bombing In The Works

Source: CNN

It looks like a film about the Oklahoma City bombing is in the works and while it's not confirmed, O.K.C. could be the title based on what has been said by sources connected to the film.

So far, here's what is known about the film:

"The script is being written by Clay Wold and is based on the story of his brother, who was a young legal clerk on the defense team for Timothy McVeigh."

Barry Levinson (Rain Man and The Natural) is set to direct.

Before September 11, 2001, the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City was the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil. In the attack, 168 were killed and more than 500 were injured. McVeigh was executed for the attack six years later in 2001.

Official Scream 4 Website Has Been Launched

With Scream 4 making its way to theaters next month, April 15th to be exact, Dimension Films just recently launched the film's official website. Once there, you can check out two trailers (teaser and official), photos from the set and if you connect through Facebook, there is a game of cat and mouse with Sidney and her friends.

It was also recently announced that the movie earned a R-rating, so anyone who was worried that they were going to try for a possible PG-13 rating can relax now.

First Look at Red Skull From Captain America: The First Avenger

Source: Entertainment Weekly

Entertainment Weekly got the exclusive first photo of Red Skull, the villain from the upcoming film Captain America: The First Avenger.

"In this summer’s Captain America: The First Avenger, Chris Evans plays a scrawny, sickly wannabe soldier during World War II who gets an injection that turns him into a super-warrior. A similar experiment was also established by the Nazis, but turned their test subject — the weapons developer Johann Schmidt (Hugo Weaving) — into the ghastly Red Skull."

Captain America: The First Avenger will hit theaters on July 22, 2011.

Star Wars (Episode I) in 3D Gets An Official Release Date

Back in September 2010, it was announced that the Star Wars saga was going to be converted to 3D and at the time, there was no official theatrical release date(s), but it was expected to begin sometime in 2012. Well, it has now become official...

Today, Lucasfilm Ltd. and 20th Century Fox announced that February 10, 2012 will be the official release date for Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. The release dates for the other five films haven't been released, but from what I've read, one will be released every year, so expect Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones to be released sometime in 2013, but don't take my word for it until an official announcement has been made.

Supervising the 3D conversion is Industrial Light & Magic, which is a division of Lucasfilm, Ltd.

Release Date Has Been Set for Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 5 is happening and Screen Gems even released an official release date for the upcoming movie, September 14, 2012.

It looks like Milla Jovovich will be coming back as Alice and while I expect Paul W.S. Anderson to come back as writer/director, it hasn't been confirmed as of yet.

Seeing as Resident Evil: Afterlife grossed $296.2 million worldwide, I'm not the least bit surprised that a fifth movie will be made.

Director Found For RoboCop Remake?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a director may have been found for the upcoming remake of RoboCop.

Last week, MGM met with directors, which included Robert Rodriguez (Desperado and Machete) and David Slade (Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night), but emerging to the top of the list was Jose Padilha and he's currently in talks with the company to direct the remake of the 1987 film directed by Paul Verhoeven.

Who is Jose Padilha? He is best known for writing and directing the Elite Squad films. In fact, Elite Squad 2, which was released in 2010, became the highest grossing film in Brazil's box office history.

After a director is signed on, MGM will then move on to finding a writer or writers to pen the script. The budget for the film will be around $80 million.

I'm now very interested in Padilha's films and have just added Elite Squad to my Netflix queue. No release date for the sequel has been announced, yet.

Here is the original trailer for RoboCop:
