I wasn't expecting an announcement like this so soon, but a third map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops is going to be released on June 28th. Just like the previous two map packs, it'll be available for Xbox 360 users first and a double XP weekend will begin on July 1st. The release date for other consoles will be announced later.
The map pack is called Annihilation and will feature four new multiplayer maps and a new zombie map. The four maps will be Hanger 18, Hazard, Drive-In and Silo. The zombie map is called Shangri-La.
It would appear that a sequel to the 1988 horror/comedy Killer Klowns from Outer Space is in the works. The title will be The Return of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space in 3D.
Grant Cramer, who played Mike Tobacco in the original gave some information about the sequel:
"We have a script and a commitment for all our funding but the money can't be spent until we have a distribution deal in place so that's where we are – talking to distributors. As soon as that final piece comes into place we should be pretty much good to go..."
When asked about the plot details of the sequel, Cramer didn't give much away:
"Well, I don’t want to say too much about the story at this early juncture but I will say that it is connected to the first movie and my character will be the mentor to the two new young leads that have to try save the world from the Klowns when they return. They're also trying to save themselves because the bad stuff the Klowns do at first gets blamed on them."
What is known is that Cramer wrote the script and he'll also produce. Joining him as producers will be the Chiodo brothers, who wrote the original. Stephen Chiodo directed the original and he is set to direct the sequel.
My thoughts: While I don't think the 3D is necessary, I'm all for this sequel. I loved the original and really hope they land a distribution deal.
